WELCOME Darren Athersmith is Cumbrian based and has a passion for photography, specialising in weddings and portraits, both in the studio and on location. His approach is to capture natural candid expressions in a relaxed atmosphere, creating a set of fresh and stylish images. Based in Barrow-in-Furness, Darren operates mainly in Cumbria and the Lake District but is available throughout the UK. Nikon Photo of the Month

As a registered Nikon Professional user I am pleased to say that I have been successful in winning the Nikon monthly photography competition with an image of a couple watching the sunset over Coniston Water. As well as the cash prize my picture will feature on the Nikon stand at Europe's biggest annual imaging show at the NEC on March 7‑10 2010.

Yesterday saw us at the wedding of Richard and Kathryn and what a fantastic day it was. The rain stayed away for most of the day and when it was there we made a point of using it in a shot!

The Wedding of Heather and Colin

Saturday the 7th November saw us photographing the wedding of Colin and Heather. We had a fantastic day despite the weather and I'm now busy processing all of the images captured on the day. As I personally process every image this takes a bit of time and it will probably take a week or so before they are ready for viewing. In the meantime I've uploaded a few images to tease you with, check them out in the gallery hope you like them.
