Bridal Portraits

11th March 2012
The build up to the wedding season is a great time to collaborate with others in the industry to produce some stunning bridal portraits that benefit all concerned. With that in mind I decided to put together a shoot in February and so approached some of the best wedding suppliers and services around Barrow-in-Furness to contribute to a bridal shoot with Jen Brook and me.

Madeline House Hairdressing from Scott Street has a great team working there to produce new and innovative styles and they also specialise in weddings. Amy was available on the day of the shoot and so she came along to ensure Jen’s hair was perfect for any bride and what a great job she did.

Chloe Hardy from Barrow is a freelance makeup artist with a great CV having worked on The British Soap Awards and Sky Living’s Chick Fix to name just two. Thankfully for us Chloe is now specialising in weddings and she agreed to come along to complete Jen’s makeup before she had to leave for another appointment.

Obviously the special element of a wedding for any bride to be is picking the right dress and Terri of bridal boutique Wedding Daze on Cavendish Street Barrow agreed to loan us a dress for the day so a massive thank you goes out to Terri. The dress was simply stunning as you can see from the images so if you’re looking for your own dress then pay Terri a visit.

The only thing we were missing was a bridal bouquet and Posh Flowers of Rawlinson Street Barrow were happy to provide us with one but unfortunately we hadn’t left enough time for them to put together one of their beautiful creations. Thankfully though they had a lovely silk bouquet available and it completed the look nicely.

The four star Grange Hotel at Grange-Over-Sands is a stunning wedding venue nestled in the beautiful Lake District and was my obvious choice of location for the shoot, thankfully Jenni was more than happy to be involved in the collaboration. We obviously had to consider the other guests in the hotel so restricted our shoot to one of the beautiful honeymoon suites and then took a few images along one of the corridors and on the stairs. The hotel is a fantastic venue for a wedding and has some superb locations for photographs both inside and out although we remained inside on the day. As ever all the staff at the hotel were tremendous and a big thank you to Jenni for sending up a tray of sandwiches which were gratefully received. If you are planning your wedding in the English Lake District then check out the Grange Hotel for yourself and see what a beautiful venue it is.

And so everything was in place for me to produce some beautiful bridal portraits at one of the premier venues in the English Lake District. I hope you like the few I’ve shown here and if you would like me to capture your special day in photographs then please contact me and we can discuss your requirements. I have many more images and some sample albums that you can come around and view to see how I pride myself in taking beautiful images and presenting them in top quality albums.
