Mel and Craig’s big day
26th January 2011

Last week we had the privilege of capturing images from Mel and Craig’s wedding, and what a day it was. The rain didn’t let up all day but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the happy couple or their family and friends who joined them in celebration. Mel looked simply stunning and arrived at the Church in style in a horse drawn carriage pulled by 3 beautiful Friesian Stallions, courtesy of Black Horses Ltd.
Following the service it was time to get out the umbrella’s again to shelter from the rain whilst showering the newly weds with confetti (and maybe the odd grain of rice according to Craig) as they headed to their carriage where a bottle of champagne was waiting. Sipping champagne from silver flutes Mel and Craig set off through Grange whilst their guests returned to their cars to travel to the reception.
The wedding breakfast was served at the Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge and guests arrived to the wonderful sound of the saxophone played by Calvin, followed by the smooth vocals of Howard Wing who entertained throughout the meal and then into the evening. Howard certainly kept the guests entertained and had them volunteering to duet with him and they ended dancing on their chairs.

The dancing carried on into the night but before I left, Mel and Craig joined me outside in the rain for a night time shot of the fantastic venue. It had stopped raining when I invited you out guys, honestly ;-)

We had a great day, can’t wait for you to see all the pictures.
Darren, Lesley and Kai.
