Mark and Kay brought baby Ben around for some portraits last week and what a lovely happy little boy he was, smiling all the time he was here.

4 weeks to go before Jamie and Charlene are new parents so they came around to the studio to capture the moment. We created some beautiful pictures and they'll surely treasure them forever.

We had the great pleasure yesterday of photographing the wedding of Graham and Julie at the Abbey House Hotel in Barrow in Furness. A great day was had by all and we're now in the process of working through the pictures from the day.

After a Lifestyle shoot with her girls in the Bluebell Wood Jo decided to have a shoot in her wedding dress so it was booked for a fine sunset on the shores of Coniston Water.

Louise, mum of Grace and Isabel, arranged a lifestyle portrait shoot with me last Monday evening in a local wood where she often takes the girls for a walk. We were hoping for some colourful Bluebells but they were past there best so we simply had a fun time walking through the wood.

Lifestyle Portrait sessions with children outside the studio are great fun and result in some fantastic relaxed photographs. Last Sunday we had a session arranged with Milly and Penny in a local Bluebell wood, we had a great time and the resulting images are fantastic.

Following her wedding last year Steph decided to have a 'Trash the Dress' session with us but without trashing her dress. No rivers or wading into the sea but some stunning pictures in the grounds of Graythwaite Hall followed by a visit to Coniston Water.

Cousins Tyra and Ella came to the studio at the weekend with their baby brothers Cohan and Lewis. We had great fun getting some lovely pictures (after a session on the trampoline), hope the family love them too.

The weather was better than forecast so we had a walk to the top of Gummers How for a pre-wedding shoot with Wayne and Kirsten, oh and Tara the Springer came along too!

As a registered Nikon Professional user I am pleased to say that I have been successful in winning the Nikon monthly photography competition with an image of a couple watching the sunset over Coniston Water. As well as the cash prize my picture will feature on the Nikon stand at Europe's biggest annual imaging show at the NEC on March 7‑10 2010.

Vic and Neil visited before Christmas with their new arrival baby Jonah. It was lovely to see him at last and we shot his first baby portraits in the studio.

Zoe and her family came to the studio for some photos of her lovely new arrival Lydia Grace this week. What a beautiful baby she is and so is her sister Hollie who got in on the photo's too.

A studio booking with Hannah and Shaun on Sunday for some black and white portraits led to some lovely pictures.

Yesterday saw us at the wedding of Richard and Kathryn and what a fantastic day it was. The rain stayed away for most of the day and when it was there we made a point of using it in a shot!

Saturday the 7th November saw us photographing the wedding of Colin and Heather. We had a fantastic day despite the weather and I'm now busy processing all of the images captured on the day. As I personally process every image this takes a bit of time and it will probably take a week or so before they are ready for viewing. In the meantime I've uploaded a few images to tease you with, check them out in the gallery hope you like them.

Valerie celebrated her 80th Birthday on Sunday with a family gathering at Clarence House in Dalton in Furness. I was there to capture some family portraits before they all tucked into what I'm sure was a lovely meal.

I visited the fantastic Ulverston Fashion Show for the first time last night, 14th October 2009. What a night it was with great fashions from local shops modelled by an array of lovely models. It was a great night enjoyed by a packed audience, have a look at some of my images from the night.

We had a fantastic portrait shoot with Rhiannon on Sunday in the grounds of Furness Abbey. Rhiannon was a star and we captured some lovely images in the hour we had there, check them out in the gallery and see if you agree.

Keith and Andrea asked if my portrait sessions in the Barrow in Furness area included Pet Portraits and as I love photography and am always up for a challenge I agreed to give it a go. Asha their Flatcoated Retriever was a star (albeit a never still one) and we produced some stunning pictures, have a look in the gallery and see if you agree.
