The wedding of Gary and Naomi at Cartmel Racecourse
26th April 2012
Saturday the 31st of March and we were up and out early to capture the events of Gary and Naomi's big day unfold, it was a fantastic day and the sun even shone for them!
Naomi walked to the Holy Trinity Church in Bardsea on the arm of her father and they were greeted at the church gates by what seemed to be the whole village. After a lovely service the guests headed for the Hospitality Suite at Cartmel Park overlooking the famous racecourse while we followed Gary and Naomi onto Birkrigg Common for some pictures of them in the Stone Circle with the village in the background.
We stopped again briefly before we got to the racecourse for a quick snap of the bride and groom in front of the village shop, the home of Cartmel’s famous Sticky Toffee pudding. Then it was on to the racecourse where the guests were waiting, sipping champagne to the super sound of the Ulverston Victoria High School swing band.
The speeches produced the odd embarrassing moment and then a great meal was served before the evening guests started to arrive. Everyone enjoyed the celebrations, which included an excellent firework display, and the dancing went on into the night.
A big thank you to Gary and Naomi for inviting us to capture the events of their day.
If you’re getting married and would like us to capture your day like this then get in touch via the contact page.

Oh, and a special mention to my good friend Dave who travelled over from Spain with his lovely wife Sonia to assist us on the day. Check out Dave's website Imagen-Estilo to see what great work Sonia and him produce. Cheers Dave!
