The wedding of Jack and Lois at the Beech Hill Hotel

11th June 2012
This weekend we had the pleasure of the company of Jack and Lois as they came to see us to view their wedding photographs. We had the honour to be asked to capture the big day of their wedding at the Beech Hill Hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere recently. As Lake District wedding photographers we pride ourselves in producing stunning Bride and Groom portraits in their chosen location and this wedding was no exception, in fact when Jack and Lois agreed to spend 20 minutes with us on the road over Gummers How we knew the results would be exceptional.

The day started with us at Jack''s where he opened a wedding day present from Lois, a beautiful Tag Heuer watch that seemed to find its way onto many of the images during the day!

After bacon butties and a few images of the guys we headed over to Lois’s parents’ to capture the bridal preparations. Lois’s mum Tricia’s teddy was there celebrating the day and the bouquet was adorned with her Grandmothers broach, what a lovely touch. Lois also received a lovely card and necklace from Jack that was presented to her on the lawn by her Dad.

Then it was off to the Beech Hill Hotel, which is a fantastic wedding venue, and we captured some lovely candid images of the guests before the arrival of the bridesmaids with chief bridesmaid Georgie leading the way and looking great in a Rolls Royce with the lovely Freya and Sian in the back.

Lois and her father Steve then arrived in a pristine vintage Bentley and after a few moments to compose herself she was led down the aisle to an anxiously waiting Jack. Steve looked so proud walking in the room with Lois on his arm, and so he should!

After the ceremony we had half an hour with the newlyweds in the gardens of the Beech Hill to capture some lovely wedding portraits, including a shot on the jetty with the Swan, one of Windermere’s steam boats, passing in the background.

Informal drinks followed the speeches and meal and then we took a couple of group photo’s before the wedding party headed to The Nines in Barrow-in-Furness where they were joined by many more guests for the evening celebrations. It was on the way to Barrow that we took the opportunity to stop off at Gummers How for a few minutes to capture those special images that we all loved.

Jack and Lois loved their viewing so much that Lois said she wants the world to see the images! We’re over the moon to receive comments like that and to follow Lois’s wishes there’s no password on their gallery, have a look and see how their day was and please leave a comment.

Thanks for letting us capture the images of your day guys; it truly was an honour and a pleasure.
