The Wedding of Harriet and Jack

The 21st April 2018 and the weather looked promising as I set off bright and early to travel to Askham Hall in a secluded part of the Lake District close to Lowther Castle. This was to be the special day for Harriet and Jack as they were to marry in the Bank Barn at Askham Hall at 12:30 and I had the honour of capturing their big day in pictures.

As I arrived the sun was shining, the venue looked wonderful and Harriet and the girls were busy getting ready. After spending some time with them I met up with Jack and the guys enjoying the sunshine outside, we took a few photos and then Jack was off to re-read his lines looking a little nervous.
Harriet’s mum walked her down the aisle for the service where both Harriet and Jack read to each other, which was rather lovely. Before long they were husband and wife and joined their guests for celebratory drinks outside on the lawn. We took the opportunity to explore the grounds of this fantastic venue for some portraits of the newlyweds before they all headed inside for the wedding breakfast. Evening guests started to arrive at 7pm when DJ Bowsa kicked off the party which ran on into the early hours.
A few photos from the day are below and I hope you enjoy them, please leave a comment too.
Huge congratulations from me and thanks for picking me as your Lake District Wedding Photographer.
